Great Remote!, May 3, 2011

Well my dog ate my projector remote and then my Onkyo remote died, so I decided to bite the bullet and grab Harmony 1100 remote since I have been eyeing it up for a year now. I was not disappointed! It took me about a half hour to setup the software, update the remote, program the remote with my gear, and then setup a few macros so a single touch would start up the equipment I wanted it to. It was much easier than I thought it would be! The IR sensor works way better than the original remotes as well! With the old remotes they would need to be pointed directly at the gear, or if you were too off axis to the sensor the equipment would not respond, this remote seems to work anywhere in the room, very happy with this.

I’ve had remotes before that took all day to find the code and program it, but not this one. 20 – 30 minutes on the computer is all you need. Harmony 1100 It’s a great remote, not a single complaint from me!

Very easy to use. My son programmed it and it appeared to be not complicated. It is great to get rid of the many single remotes that cluttered our table. Would recommend this to anyone looking to simplify access to their home theatre system.

My husband purchased one of these some time ago and we liked it so much we found we were unable to function without it in the other room… so I got one for the bedroom TV/DVR/Blu ray. My husband has customized each of the two units for the room they belong in, to manage the components in that room. This device is so easy to use, once it’s set up, that I have to say I am completely spoiled by it. Highly recommended, especially if you are tired of dealing with four different remotes, or an old clunky “universal” style remote. Harmony 1100 one does it all, and it does it the way YOU want it to do it. You can even add an image of your own on the screen… just make sure it’s one on top of which you’ll be able to see icons… in other words, keep any background image simple. Great product – I don’t know what I’d without ours now… I guess I’d hunt for remotes and cuss a lot!
